This course provides a greater understanding of the behaviors of others, not just in our own community, region, and society but also around the globe. We live in a complex and rapidly changing world. Sociology’s systematic, scientific analysis can help you make sense of the society and world in which you live. Sociology promotes a greater acceptance of those who are “different” locally, regionally, and globally, and will provide you with strategies and skills to understand the behavior of the people with whom you interact on a daily basis. Developing a greater awareness, acceptance, and understanding of others’ behavior is a valuable asset for you as you may be considering a career in which you will work alongside and directly with other members of our society.
